Lapeyre already ran two sites, one for retail and one for professional customers. Having just rebuilt its consumer site around a new identity, the brand needed to carry that same design system onto its professional site, and rethink, along the way, the stakes specific to that audience.
Upstream, interviews with professionals and store managers helped establish the personas. I then ran the framing as a Design Sprint with the Lapeyre teams, which produced the journeys, the information architecture and the wireframes. Three constraints guided the work: a fast go-live, fidelity to the new design system and to the consumer site's structure, and the technical and business needs specific to professionals.
For the final interface, I adapted and extended Lapeyre's design system to a functional scope specific to professionals, from the account area to product pages, orders and invoices. I notably designed the Job Sites feature, built to give pros finer control over their activity, from expressing a need to managing their schedule and accounting, including order tracking. This feature helped retain professional users and meet Lapeyre's business goals.
